Cognicare Psychological Services, located at 477 Route 10, Suite 208, is a group mental health practice that offers compassionate, individualized counseling services for adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. The practice specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, relationship counseling, parenting support, and culturally responsive mental health care, with an emphasis on creating an inclusive and supportive environment for individuals from all backgrounds. Comprised of a team of caring, knowledgeable, and experienced therapists with a wide range of specializations, Cognicare is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible mental health care to individuals and families in the community.
Owner and psychologist Ashley Appleton first established her practice in Branchburg, New Jersey, in 2019, with the goal of making quality mental health care more accessible. After seven years of serving that community, Cognicare recently expanded by opening its second location in Randolph to better serve individuals and families throughout Morris County and the surrounding communities.
The practice serves children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, as well as those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves through approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Cognicare also provides couples and family therapy. With a diverse team of clinicians, the practice takes care to match clients with therapists who best fit their individual needs, preferences, and goals. The team takes pride in supporting clients as they work toward the sense of peace and well-being they deserve.

Her dedication to her profession and the community was recognized in 2024 when she was selected as one of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 honorees.
