Business Spotlight: Charmoy Dental
Charmoy Dental was originally founded by Dr. Robert Charmoy and operated for many years out of a strip mall in Randolph. The practice was later purchased by Dr. Bruce Seidner, who moved it to its current location in the lower level of the Seidner Dentistry building when it was constructed in 2000. Around that time, Dr. Schultz, who had been working as an associate dentist, bought into the practice as a partner and later became the full owner. Dr. Shultz’s associate, Dr Laura Castro joined Charmoy Dental in 2010. She prides herself in not only being gentle, but also understanding the needs of each individual patient. She and her family have been residents of Randolph for over 20 years.
Throughout its history, Charmoy Dental has remained committed to giving back to the community. The team has volunteered through Dentistry from the Heart to provide free dental care and has donated countless toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss to underserved countries, military personnel overseas, and local women’s shelters.
They also take part in community events such as holiday food drives, veterans’ sock drives, and local tricky trays, as well as team-building activities like Habitat for Humanity roof builds, axe throwing, art classes, and bowling.
The practice regularly supports local causes, sponsoring golf outings and, most recently, donating $5 from each adult fluoride treatment—totaling $260—to the Randolph VFW Post 7333. The team also volunteered to teach elderly dementia patients in Mendham about proper denture and oral care.
Dr. Schultz attributes the practice’s success to listening closely to both patients and staff to continually improve the experience, “no one wants to go to the dentist, so we try to make it a place that’s comfortable and positive for people.” The team at Charmoy find the most rewarding part of their work is seeing how a new smile can improve someone’s confidence and overall well-being.
