Business Spotlight: Soulshine Farm

Located at 54 Park Avenue, Soulshine Farm was established 14 years ago by owners Brad and Julie Swenson to be a destination where community members of all ages can participate in activities that encourage self-growth, creativity, healthy lifestyles, and an appreciation of nature.

Utilizing her background as an educator, social worker, professor of Sociology, and yoga instructor, Mrs. Swenson works with a seasonal team to offer programs that integrate mindful activities with hands-on experiences for their visitors to participate in. Programs offered at Soulshine include Summer Day Camps for children aged 4-12, Farm Chore Fridays, and after-school programs. Additionally, the farm offers yoga classes to people of all ages.

Through its creative programs, Soulshine Farm focuses farm activities around problem-solving, tinkering/building, crafting and art, community service, cooperative games, and much more. In their commitment to engage with the community, Soulshine Farm offers 10 % of their summer camp spots at no cost for individuals who may benefit from their programs, but are unable to afford the cost. Soulshine Farm has worked with local Boy and Girl Scout troops, senior groups, and local schools to provide educational experiences that meet their needs.
