Morris County Chamber of Commerce President to Retire

Jack Miller, chairman of the board of directors of Morris County Chamber of Commerce, has announced that Paul Boudreau, the chamber’s president, will retire effective Dec. 31. The chamber board has retained a search firm and formed a Search Committee to secure Boudreau’s replacement.

Boudreau has been president of the chamber since 2008. During the last 10 years he led the effort to grow the chamber from 660 members to nearly 900 today. As chamber president he has served in leadership roles with a number of state and local organizations, including the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC); the New Jersey State Military Installation Task Force; Opportunity New Jersey; the Morris County Airport Advisory Committee; the Somerset Hills YMCA; Tri-County Scholarship Fund; and the Mental Health Association of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the Morris County Chamber of Commerce Boudreau spent 24 years with Honeywell. He served as vice president state and corporate relations, responsible for state and corporate relations, North America.

“It has been my distinct privilege and pleasure to get to know and work with Paul Boudreau,” said Miller, president and CEO of Solix, Inc. “His dynamic leadership style has been instrumental in making the chamber a vital resource and advocate for businesses in Morris County. He has become recognized by business and political leaders across the state as a pragmatic voice in the important discussions impacting our economic future. On behalf of the board, I wish Paul all the best going forward.”

“I am very grateful to our board, staff, elected officials and all members of the chamber for their support and collaboration over the last decade,” Boudreau said. “Together we’ve built an organization that is focused on adding value for our members and committed to economic growth and prosperity for Morris County and our state.”

A Search Committee has been formed by the chamber, led by Ed Ahart, a partner at the law firm Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP. The Nonprofit Search Group of New Vernon, NJ, has been retained to facilitate the search process.

“As representatives of one of the most vibrant and successful chambers anywhere in the United States, our Search Committee understands that successfully replacing Paul Boudreau is a challenging task,” Ahart said. “However, we are completely confident our organization’s prestigious membership and respected position in this important part of New Jersey as the voice and advocate for the business community will encourage many highly qualified candidates to apply and lead us to an outstanding new chamber president by the end of 2018.”
