After More Than 60 Years, Sportsmen’s Barber Shop Owners Announce Retirement
Sportsmen’s Barber Shop, a fixture in the township for more than 60 years, has built its reputation on providing high-quality haircuts for men and children while serving as a familiar gathering place for local residents. Over the years, the shop has become more than just a barbershop—it has been a space where neighbors connect and relationships are built.
Owners Tony Marro and Greg Kemp bring nearly a century of combined experience to the trade. Marro has spent 56 years cutting hair, while Kemp has dedicated 48 years to the profession. Together, they have offered a level of consistency and craftsmanship that has kept customers returning year after year.
Their work has touched generations. The shop has provided haircuts to four generations of Randolph families, establishing a tradition that many residents have continued over decades. Known for maintaining fair and affordable pricing, the business has remained accessible to its loyal customer base.
Beyond the barber chairs, Marro and Kemp have also contributed to the broader Randolph community. Sportsmen’s Barber Shop has supported local organizations such as Randolph Middle School, Randolph High School, and the Randolph Fire Department, along with other initiatives, through donations and community involvement.
As Marro and Kemp prepare to retire, the closing of this chapter marks the end of an era for a business that has long been part of the community. Their decades of dedication leave behind a legacy defined not only by quality service, but by the relationships and community spirit fostered within the shop.
