Wawa Grand Opening
On Thursday, March 4th, Wawa opened its newest location here in Randolph. The event featured a socially distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring select VIP customers, charitable contributions, and recognition of local heroes. The new store offers customers the latest Wawa innovations such as curbside pickup and delivery options as well as its all-new menu items, including its new burger which officially launched across 900 stores in February.
Attendees of the grand opening included Bill Ott, Area Manager, Tom Hughes, General Manager, Wawa associates, Wally Goose the Wawa Mascot, as well as Table of Hope associates, Mayor Forstenhausler, Township Council members, the Township Manager and staff, representatives from the township Economic Development Committee and members of the Police Department, Fire Department, and Rescue Squad.
In addition to the ribbon cutting, Wawa associates presented checks to local volunteer fire and EMS departments and a donation to the Randolph Food Pantry and Table of Hope in the name of the Randolph Police Department. In addition, the Wawa Foundation also presented a $7,500 check to Community Hope, Inc. to support their Veterans Mental Health Initiative.
In a continued effort to combat COVID-19, Wawa is maintaining the highest in health and safety protocols to ensure that every part of the Wawa experience, inside and outside of their stores, is clean, sanitized, and safe.
